Installer/Repair

Job Description: Repair and Installation of wooden shutters, blind and shades in homes and businesses in the AUSTIN Metro Area using company supplied tools and vehicle.

Core Functions: Repair and Installation of shutters, blinds and shades according to specifications and making modifications on the spot as necessary. Repairing and troubleshooting installed shutters and/or blinds and shades. Delivering and returning supplies and materials as needed. Supplies management with oral reports on customer needs, problems and potential for new products and services.

Qualifications: Valid Texas drivers' license. Clean background check.

Must be courteous, polite, and professional to the customers, as you are the final company representative the customer will interact with. Must respect the customer's privacy and property during installation, causing minimal disturbance and no damage.

Experience with wood working and carpentry helpful. Experience with measuring and diagramming helpful. Ability to use small hand tools. Demonstrate aptitude for problem solving, ability to determine solutions for customers. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines. Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicle.

Position may require some overtime paid at time and 1/2 rate.

Our High End Custom Wooden Shutter Manufacturing team is looking for quality minded applicants to assemble our shutters. We need people that are good at working with their hands and have a strong attention to detail.  Any experience in assembly and woodworking is extremely helpful. We are willing to train on the specifics of the job and are looking for people with a great work ethic and a positive attitude to join our growing family. This is a permanent position that will start at $13-$14/hr depending on experience and skill. We have a four-day work week. Working hours are from 6am – 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday, with overtime on Fridays if needed.  More details about the job are below. JOB DETAILS:


Assist in the assembly of high-end custom wood shutters
Learn one or more steps in the shutter panel manufacturing process including:

  • Stile station: create the side pieces of the shutters
  • Bore machine: drill holes for the louvers and rails to fit into panels
  • Upcut saw station: cut rails and louvers to size
  • Running our CNC Louver Assembly station
  • Panel Assembly
  • Panel cutting to precise specifications

Carry out all tasks with the highest regard for quality and safety

This position is considered Entry to Mid-Level wood working.  We are looking for people that have BASIC wood working knowledge or interest in woodworking to fill this position.  Transferable skills in welding, counter tops, glass, or construction would also thrive in this position.

Customer Service Representative

Job Description: The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of our Georgetown Showroom. Must have a high level of responsibility, an understanding of business and customer service, possess a strong work ethic and have a positive approach to their job and highly developed communication skills. Daily duties include assisting in the opening and closing of the showroom, daily deposits, assisting customers (inside sales), customer focused prospecting, and processing and maintaining customer orders. Assisting in maintaining a Master Schedule daily for all sales staff. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Must take the initiative in solving problems. Assist in maintaining operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing goals and maintaining customer and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Retail Showroom Operations

Showroom hours of operation:

Monday thru Friday 8:30am - 6:00pm and Saturday 11:00am - 4:00 pm.

Required to work rotating Saturday shifts.

Scheduling

  • Utilizing scheduling system for tracking and scheduling appointments.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of a Master Schedule for sales staff.
  • Assisting in scheduling on site home and business estimates.

Resource Management

  • Assisting in the entering of specific sales orders in the Master Schedule.

Inside Sales

  • Assisting in the following through to completion for each sales opportunity.
  • Taking in-bound phone orders, gathering information from potential clients, probing customers for new opportunities, assisting customers with product selection, and selling additional products to current clients.
  • Assisting in the researching, creating, and prospecting of new sources of customers via mail, email, print and telephone.
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining customer/prospect database with daily, accurate reporting of call volume, contact information, results and follow-up.
  • Assisting in developing positive relationships with customers, prospects and sales team members.
  • Assisting in proactively working with Sales staff to market Company products.
  • Assist in the handling of customer complaints and conferring with General Manager as necessary.

Administrative

  • Assist in the creating and maintaining of company contacts, scheduling, and information library.
  • Completing paperwork accurately related to sales and appointments.
  • Maintaining company filing system, including filing and upkeep of filing system.
  • Assist in protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
  • Assist in maintaining the stability and reputation of the brand by complying with legal requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must meet the following minimum core competencies:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience helpful.
  • Must be organized, conscientious, and self-motivated with excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Must be meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to take the initiative and be resourceful in anticipating and solving problems and developing effective solution.
  • Must provide own transportation reliably to and from work.
