Our shutters are made from solid North American Basswood (no finger joints), a lightweight and stable hardwood. The relatively lightweight of the shutter helps maintain a proper fit in the opening while the stability of the wood insures proper function of the shutter. These are key factors in our ability to offer our limited Lifetime Warranty on both the shutter and the installation.
